The GoHighLevel free trial is 14 days if you sign up directly at gohighlevel.com/pricing, and 30 days if you start from one of HighLevel’s partner trial pages. Either way you get full access to the plan you choose, you need a card on file, and HighLevel charges you automatically on the last day unless you cancel first.

That’s the whole offer. The rest of this page covers what the trial includes, where the 30-day version comes from, what it costs if you test texting and AI, how to cancel, and how to use 14 days so you actually learn something.

GoHighLevel 30-day free trial vs the 14-day trial

GoHighLevel offers two trial lengths, and HighLevel provides the same software on both. The standard trial is the one available on HighLevel’s pricing page: 14 days with full access to the platform and the features of your chosen tier. HighLevel’s own FAQ describes it as enough to “set up your account, build funnels, and test automations before you pay a dime.”

The 30-day free trial runs on HighLevel-hosted landing pages built for partners and affiliates. The page at gohighlevel.com/30-day-trial-11, for example, offers 30 days on all three plans: Starter ($97/mo), Unlimited ($297/mo) and the $497 plan, which that page still labels SaaS Pro. HighLevel now calls that plan Agency Pro. The terms are the same as the direct trial: “No charges will be processed today,” then a charge to the card on file after 30 days unless you cancel.

Which version you get depends on the trial link you click. The 30-day page lets you get a full month to build and test before committing to a paid plan, so if an extended trial matters to your timeline, check that the page you’re on says 30 days before you enter your card. A gohighlevel 60-day free trial shows up on some third-party sites, but we couldn’t find one on any HighLevel-hosted page, so don’t count on it.

HighLevel’s affiliate program pays 40% recurring commission, and many reviewers, agency owners and course creators link to these trial pages as affiliates. The product is identical either way, but the person recommending the platform earns from your subscription, which is worth knowing.

Key features included in the GoHighLevel free trial

HighLevel is an all-in-one software as a service platform that combines CRM and marketing automation for agencies and digital marketing teams, and the trial period gives you everything you need to test it on real client accounts. You get the core features of the plan you pick, which are the same on every plan:

  • CRM with pipelines, unlimited contacts and unlimited users
  • Funnel and website builder with a drag-and-drop page builder for a sales funnel, landing pages and forms
  • Email marketing, SMS and multi-channel marketing automation workflows
  • Calendars and appointment booking
  • Reputation management, with review requests and replies
  • Courses, memberships and communities
  • Snapshots and templates to copy a whole account setup

What differs between plans is the agency layer. Starter covers 3 sub-accounts. Unlimited adds unlimited sub-accounts, the white-label desktop web app, custom domains, basic API access and at-cost rebilling of phone and email. Agency Pro adds SaaS Mode, advanced API access and rebilling with markup, including AI. The trial lets you test whichever of those you chose.

Add-ons such as WordPress hosting and the HIPAA add-on are billed separately and aren’t needed to judge the platform. The AI-powered tools (Conversation AI, Voice AI, Content AI, Reviews AI) are available on every plan, but billed per use unless a sub-account is on an AI Employee plan ($50 or $97 per month). The white-label mobile app is a separate $497/mo add-on, so it isn’t part of any standard trial, and Enterprise terms, which include HIPAA and custom development, need a conversation with HighLevel’s sales team.

Credit card and what the trial actually costs

HighLevel asks for a card at signup. It doesn’t charge the subscription until the trial is over, but its pricing page is explicit that “usage-based fees for telecommunications or third-party services may apply during the trial,” covering phone numbers, SMS, emails sent and premium AI.

Texts and calls run on LC Phone, HighLevel’s built-in phone system. The rates are small per unit and add up with volume:

UsageRate
Local phone number$1.15/mo
SMS (US and Canada)$0.00747 per segment plus carrier fees
Outbound calls$0.0166/min
LC Email$0.675 per 1,000 emails
Reviews AI$0.01 per review
Voice AI$0.045/min engine plus text-to-speech, tokens and phone minutes

Texting to US numbers also requires A2P 10DLC registration, which has its own fees and takes time to approve, so start it early in the trial if SMS is part of your test. Our GoHighLevel SMS pricing breakdown covers those registration costs and carrier fees in detail.

How to start your GoHighLevel free trial

  1. Go to gohighlevel.com/pricing for the 14-day trial, or a HighLevel-hosted partner page if you want 30 days, and review the pricing options.
  2. Pick the plan you’d realistically pay for (more on that below), then enter your business details and card. No subscription charge is processed today.
  3. Log in to the agency dashboard, create your first sub-account, and connect your calendar, email sending domain and phone number.
  4. Put the trial end date in your calendar the same day. If you start a free trial today on the direct page, the first charge lands two weeks from now unless you decide to cancel.

Plan changes are allowed at any time. HighLevel is month-to-month with no long-term contract, and upgrades mid-month are charged the prorated difference.

Which plan to choose: Starter, Unlimited ($297) or the Pro plan

Choose the plan you’d move to as a paid plan after the trial. A solo business owner running one company should run a Starter plan trial. An agency with more than three clients, or one that needs white-label branding, should trial Unlimited at $297, because that’s where unlimited sub-accounts and the white-label desktop app start. An agency planning to resell GoHighLevel under its own brand should trial Agency Pro, since SaaS Mode takes the longest to set up and test.

Testing Starter when you know you’ll need Unlimited just means you’ll spend the trial looking at a 3-sub-account cap. For the full plan comparison, see GoHighLevel pricing, and for reselling margins, read GoHighLevel white-label pricing before you pick Agency Pro.

Is GoHighLevel worth it? A 14-day test plan

GoHighLevel is a platform designed for agencies, and it has a steep learning curve; community consensus puts real proficiency at a couple of months. Fourteen days is enough time to judge the core workflows, though. You won’t master it in a trial, so test GoHighLevel on the few workflows that decide whether GoHighLevel can replace the marketing tools you pay for now:

  1. Days 1 to 3: load a snapshot template close to your niche (our GoHighLevel snapshots guide explains where to find them) and walk through the pipeline, calendar and forms it creates.
  2. Days 4 to 7: build one funnel and one real automation end to end, such as a lead-to-booking funnel or missed-call text back, and run test contacts through it.
  3. Days 8 to 11: connect the integrations you rely on (Stripe, Google Calendar, Facebook lead forms) and confirm data flows the way your current tools do.
  4. Days 12 to 14: agencies should create a second sub-account to see client separation and white-label branding in practice, then decide.

If the core workflows work and the platform doesn’t fight you building them, that’s a good sign. Our guide on how to use GoHighLevel helps you get set up faster.

When the trial ends: HighLevel pricing and how to cancel

The trial converts to a paid subscription at the plan you chose, charged to the card on file. There’s no free tier to fall back to and no grace period.

To cancel before the trial expires, go to Agency Settings, then Billing, then “Want to modify/cancel your subscription?”, and choose Cancel Plan. HighLevel asks for a reason and written feedback before confirming. After cancellation, sub-accounts lose access right away, data is kept for 90 days in case you reactivate, and then it’s deleted for good. Phone numbers and A2P registrations are deleted after 14 days. Export anything you built that you want to keep before you cancel.

If you want to keep using GoHighLevel, you don’t need to do anything, and the subscription payment goes through on the card you entered. You’ll pay the monthly rate for your plan, plus usage.

How the HighLevel trial compares to other platforms

PlatformFree trialNotes
GoHighLevel14 days direct, 30 days on partner pagesCard on file; auto-charges after the trial; no free plan
HubSpot14 days of Professional featuresNo card; reverts to your previous plan; Free CRM never expires
ActiveCampaign14 daysNo card; capped at 100 contacts and 100 email sends
ClickFunnels14 daysPlus a 30-day money-back guarantee after the trial
Kartra14 daysPlus a 30-day money-back guarantee
Vendasta14 daysNo card; Professional and Premium need a 1-year contract

HubSpot’s trial is the lowest-risk because it never auto-charges, and its Free CRM stays free. ClickFunnels and Kartra both offer a money-back guarantee on top of the trial, which GoHighLevel’s pricing page doesn’t mention. GoHighLevel’s trial is the most complete test of an all-in-one platform, with unlimited contacts and every core tool open, but it’s the one that bills you if you forget. If you’re comparing options before you start, our GoHighLevel alternatives page and full GoHighLevel review cover where it wins and where it doesn’t.
